Nominations
- Nominations are FREE.
- You can nominate yourself or the organisation you work for or a person or organisation you admire.
- People and organisations can be nominated in multiple categories.
- Nominations for all awards must be received by 5pm, Wednesday 29 August 2012.
- The Honour 2012 judging panel will select up to four (4) finalists and one (1) winner for each category.
- All finalists will be announced on Wednesday 7 September, 2012.
- The winner of each category will be announced at the 2012 Honour Awards ceremony and cocktail party on Thursday 20 September, 2012.
- The winner of each category will receive a stylish trophy and an exquisite floral bouquet.
Categories
Business Award
Presented by the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Business Association
This award recognises the work of an individual or commercial/for profit organisation that has provided leadership or achieved outstanding success within the GLBT community OR has provided excellent service or made a significant contribution to the GLBT community in the fields of business, finance, commerce and/or industry.
Media/Arts/Entertainment Award
This award recognises the work of a person or organisation that has provided leadership or achieved outstanding success within the GLBT community OR has provided excellent service or made a significant contribution to the GLBT community in the fields of media, communications, creative industries, popular culture and/or entertainment.
Health and Wellbeing Award
Presented by GLYDE Health
This award recognises the work of a person or organisation that has provided leadership or achieved outstanding success within the GLBT community OR has provided excellent service or made a significant contribution to the GLBT community in the fields of medicine, healthcare, spirituality, sport, education, research and/or advocacy.
Community Organisation Award
Presented by TBC
This award recognises the work of a community/not for profit organisation which has provided leadership or achieved outstanding success within the GLBT community OR has provided excellent service or made a significant contribution to the GLBT community.
Community Hero Award
Presented by ACON
This award recognises the work of a person who has provided leadership or achieved outstanding success within the GLBT community OR who has provided excellent service or made a significant contribution to the GLBT community in any capacity.
